⛩🍽 🍞 🍞 Good morning blessings to every one of you and thanks for being here at, THE MASTER’S TABLE. While sitting here this morning, I was thinking on how, I desire to be what God wants me to be. And do what He wants me to do. Sometimes I don’t share like I should, time, talents, or service. Sometimes it is all about me. These are the little people inside all of us…The Me, Myself. And I.
As people who are following Jesus, becoming new creations start each new day. We must develop the character to remain in the same character as Jesus. Remember He crucified our flesh on Calvary’s Cross. We must crucify that same flesh every day or it will take over. In our flesh we want to do what we want to do to make us feel good! Doing for other’s sometimes just don’t fit in. THIS IS NOT THE MINDSET TO HAVE as a follower of Jesus. He saved me for service and showing forth light in darkness.
This is self-centeredness it comes from a dark place and our selfish nature of wanting; The Me, Myself. And I’s satisfied outside the guidelines of God must end. So, I asked the question to the Wisest teacher, Holy Spirit, “As a Christian, how can I be Motivated not to be self-centered but God-Centered”?
I praise God and His Son Jesus for sending Holy Spirit. He has the answers to keep us on track and in step with getting closer to God. Closer to walking in His Word, With His Living Word Jesus, and not in our Dead fleshy wants and desires. To guard against a self-centered mind-set as followers of Jesus, we must focus constantly on our relationship with Jesus.
It is essential to focus on Him as the source and goal of our lives. This involves centering our prayers on Him, welcoming in the fullness of joy He wants to give us. By doing so, we can lift our gaze from our desires and focus on His goodness, character, and love. This practice helps us to grow in our faith and become more like Christ. And we can have perfect peace in doing so. Jesus’ promise is, God will give us peace if we set our minds on Him.
For us who follow Jesus, one of God’s roles is He is the sustainer of peace in our lives. This peace is not merely the absence of conflict but a profound sense of well-being and wholeness. Let us choose NOT to be Self-Centered, but God-Centered. In this wise…We will be following Jesus, obeying Holy Spirit, serving others and God the way He desires, and He will be our Center.
God will keep in perfect peace all who trust in Him, all whose thoughts are fixed on Him!
Blessed be in Jesus & in His name 🕊️ ✋🏾🤚🏾 Amen ❣
