⛩🍽 🍞 God blessings to every one of you. Thanks for being here at THE MASTER’S TABLE. As we continue to see the wickedness increase and unrest of this world’s direction, we must stay focused on walking with God. Which brings me to one of God’s faithful servants who did just that in very wicked times. His name was Enoch.
Enoch lived 365 years during a time of increasing wickedness on earth, yet he walked with God. Not only did he live a faithful life, but also his life on earth ended in a unique way. The Message paraphrase puts it this way: “Enoch walked steadily with God. And then one day he was simply gone: God took him” (Genesis 5:24 📖).
Wow, Enoch walked steadily with God. How can we Christians of today, be Motivated to walk steadily with God like Enoch did❓
To be motivated to walk steadily with God like Enoch, we must be dedicated to take action and consider the following principles:
Enoch had “Intimacy with God”. Enoch’s life exemplifies a close relationship with God, characterized by faith and obedience. We must “Reflect on how we can cultivate such a relationship in our daily life.
We must have “Consistency in Faith”. Enoch walked with God for 300 years, demonstrating the importance of a consistent relationship with God. Reflect on how you can maintain this consistency in your spiritual journey.
We must be willing to “Prophetic Witness”. Enoch’s role as a prophet and his unwavering faith in God’s promises serve as a powerful example. Consider how you can use your faith to witness God’s presence in your A Vital aspect of Christian faith is Prophetic Witness.
Prophetic witness is a vital aspect of Christian faith, where individuals are called to speak truth to power, advocate for justice, and challenge the status quo in the name of a higher authority. This concept is rooted in the biblical tradition, where prophets were called to speak on behalf of God, often challenging the powers that be and calling for repentance and reform.
We must be committed to “Living a Life of Righteousness”. Enoch’s life was marked by righteousness and a commitment to God’s will. Reflect on how you can embody these values in your actions and decisions.
The greatest Motivation should be “Hope Beyond Death”. Enoch’s experience of being taken by God without experiencing death serves as a reminder of hope and the promise of eternal life. Reflect on how you can find hope in your faith.
By applying these principles, we can strive to walk steadily with God, drawing inspiration from Enoch’s remarkable life.
